ACCELERATED TRAINING FOR SMES (DEC. 9-11, 2015)

The young Innovators in Agribusiness conducted two day training for sixty (60) top Small and Medium Sized Enterprises from the East Africa region and AGOA participating countries (Ethiopia).
The competitors, aged between 18-35 years, run Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) that address needs arising from various agricultural value chains in their respective countries. The needs include production, value addition, food processing, farm inputs, financing, Innovation and knowledge transfer. The participants received accelerated training which comprised of individual work assignment, classroom sessions conducted by course facilitators, group work and a Thought leadership forum. The objective of the
training was: to build the capacity of participants to grow and introduce their investment in agribusiness and pitch their propositions to investors, export requirements and readiness for entrepreneurs.
